“Unlock the Learning Potential In Your Child Through Learning Keys™
Do you know if your child is a visual learner, audio learner or kinesthetic learner? Do you know your child’s preferred pattern of cognitive processing in thinking and how your child absorbs and process information? Do you know your child’s personality and what motivates him/her to excel?
As parents, you will need to understand the strength of your child to help her excel in various aspects. The facilitators use the ‘strength-based’ approach in a programme entitled LearningKeys™. It focuses on identifying the personal strengths and then applying that information to everyday communicating and learning situations.
LearningKeys™ consists of 3 key tools that are designed to identify and enhance personal motivation, communication, learning and thinking in students.
Key #1 is in identifying the personality style which helps to reveal and encourage the use of personal strengths. Using the D.I.S.C profiling method, it aims to help you understand what motivates your child, his strengths and limitations. This increased understanding will enable enhanced people-skill and communication development in your child.
Key #2 is in knowing the perceptual learning style which helps your child to adapt to new learning situations. It identifies if your child is an auditory learner, visual learner or kinesthetic learner and suggests learning strategies to help improve study habits and grades. It aims to increase your child’s learning potential and to design your child’s perfect learning and studying environment.
Key #3 is in determining the cognitive thinking style which identifies your child’s preferred pattern of cognitive processing in thinking and how your child absorbs and process information. It identifies if your child is a literal thinker, intuitive thinker, theoretical thinking or experiential thinker and suggests strategies to help your child capitalize on learning strengths and compensate for limitations.
At the end of the workshop, your child will discover his LearningKeys and bring home a workbook with the implementable action plans.
